The Ikhwan in North America: A Short History

تصویر
THE NEFA FOUNDATION www.nefafoundation.org By Douglas Farah and Ron Sandee Executive Summary The current federal court case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) in Dallas, Texas,' offers an unprecedented inside look into the history of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States, as well as its goals and structure. The documents discuss recruitment, organization, ideology and the development of the organization in different phases in the United States. The prosecution in the case has presented many internal Muslim Brotherhood documents from the 1980's and early 1990's that give a first-ever, public view of the history and ideology behind the operations of the Muslim Brothers (known as the Ikhwan or The Group/ in the U.S. over the past four decades. For researchers, the documents have the added weight of being written by the Ikhwan leaders themselves, rather than interpretations of secondary sources. The most compelling evide...

‘Now Is Time to Behead Unbelievers’: Muslim Persecution of Christians, October 2016

تصویر
Reports of Muslims torturing, raping, and forcing Christians to embrace Islam continued to mount throughout the month of October. Alice Assaf, a Christian woman recounted the experiences of Christians—including her son’s execution for refusing to deny his faith —in a village near Damascus at the hands of the Islamic State. She also told how the Islamic State massacres children in cruel and unusual ways—including by throwing them into an industrial sized dough mixer: “[W]e heard that the militants grabbed six strong men working at the bakery and burned them inside the oven. After that, they caught some 250 kids and kneaded them like dough in the bakery dough machine…. Members of 200 different families were killed right before our eyes.” Some Christian and Yazidi women captured by ISIS militants were sold at auctions in Saudi Arabia , America’s close friend which is supposedly part of the coalition fighting ISIS. In Pakistan, a group of armed Muslims kidnapped and took t...

The Specifics of Sharia’s Savageries

تصویر
Although Western media regularly claim no “motive” for many of the Islamic attacks on non-Muslims, many are by now at least vaguely aware that the Muslim perpetrators rely on generic Islamic teachings that foster hostility for non-Muslims. Yet often overlooked are the very stringent and detailed Islamic rulings behind many terror attacks. Take the recent attack on St. Peter’s Cathedral in Egypt, which left at least 25 Christian worshippers —the majority of whom were women and children—dead and which ISIS claimed. While many might write it off as just another generic attack targeting Coptic Christian “infidels,” the reality is that ISIS and other Islamic groups and individuals relied on arcane and little known Islamic rulings to justify their violence. For instance, why was St. Peter’s specifically targeted? The obvious answer is that it holds a prestigious place among the Coptic Orthodox community, as it stands within the St. Mark complex, the seat of the Coptic Pop...

Muslim Slaughters Christian for Selling Alcohol in Egypt

تصویر
A Muslim man crept up behind a Christian man and slit his throat, killing him in Alexandria, Egypt, on the evening of January 3. Adel Suleiman, 48, the Muslim man who committed the murder, did so because his Christian victim, 45-year-old Joseph Lam‘i, owned a shop that sold alcohol, which the murderer deemed “contrary to the shar‘ia [Islamic law] and the religion [Islam],” according to an Arabic language investigative report . A surveillance video captures the moment of the attack (see below). The Coptic shop owner can be seen sitting in a chair right outside his shop. Then a bearded man appears casually walking along in the background. He stops behind the seated Christian, pulls his head back, and very forcefully and deliberately slits his throat. The Copt instinctively jumps up and away from his assassin, though he quickly succumbed to his wounds by bleeding to death. According to a preliminary investigation by the national security department of Egypt, “The ac...

A Hate to Kill and Die for

تصویر
Muslim attacks on Christian churches are on the rise all around the world — including in America . The worst occurred last month when a bomb exploded in Egypt’s St. Peter’s Cathedral , killing 28 , mostly women and children. Preliminary investigations had indicated that a woman entered the church, sat in the women’s section, and then left an unattended purse that later detonated. Later reports asserted that, although others were involved, including one Muslim woman, a male suicide-bomber was the chief culprit ( graphic pictures of his remains here ). How much hate must a woman have to enter a church, smile in the faces of Christians, pretend to be worshipping alongside them— here’s a similar example from Turkey —and then knowingly leave a bomb precisely where it would kill mostly women and children? How much hate must a man have for people who are peacefully praying that, in order to kill as many of them, he is willing to kill himself? The answer is an unfathomabl...

The Return of Islam’s Child-Soldiers

تصویر
Past and present, Muslim militants continue relying on the same inhumane tactics to terrorize “infidels.” The devastating effects of one of these occurred last August in Turkey: a child “recruited” by the Islamic State blew himself up in a suicide attack that left at least 51 people—mostly fellow children—dead. This child was one of countless, nameless, faceless children seized, beat, and indoctrinated in Islam, until they become willing “martyrs” and executioners . Known as the “cubs of the caliphate,” they are graduates from “schools [established by ISIS] to prepare hundreds of children and teenagers to conduct suicide attacks.” The Islamic State is fond of showcasing these abducted children turned criminals. A few days ago, it posted a video of these “cubs,” most who appear to be about 10 years of age, walking around an abandoned amusement park, where they savagely execute hostages tied to rides. One child, reportedly only four years old, shoots five rounds into...

Egypt: Four Christians Slaughtered in 10 Days

تصویر
That the Coptic Christian Church continues to voice its support for President Sisi should not be interpreted to mean that the situation of Egypt’s Christian minority has improved. One need only look to the substratum of news for confirmation. The current month of January alone has already witnessed three separate instances over the course of 10 days where four Copts were slaughtered in Egypt. On January 3, a Muslim man of the Salafi variety crept up behind a Copt, 45, and slit his throat , killing him in Alexandria. The murderer’s reasoning was that the Christian man owned a shop that sold alcohol, which the Salafi deemed “contrary to the shar‘ia [Islamic law] and the religion [Islam].” A couple of days later, as reported in a January 6 r eport , a Coptic man, 62, and his wife, 55, were found slaughtered in their home in Monufia, north Egypt. The Christian couple’s throats were slit and their bodies had multiple stab wounds. Nothing was stolen from their apartments; it w...

Seize Saudi Oil, Solve World Problems

تصویر
Would you like to know how the United States can virtually eliminate global Islamic terrorism and world hunger with one stroke? Seize the oil wells of Saudi Arabia. If this sounds preposterous and unethical—“the U.S. doesn’t go on the offensive and it certainly doesn’t ‘steal’ other peoples’ natural resources, especially its allies!”—consider some facts: First, anyone who sees the Islamic State (ISIS) as a cancer on earth that needs to be eradicated—and most Americans, including U.S. President Donald Trump, do—must also see Saudi Arabia (SA) in similar terms. For the desert kingdom enforces the same kind of Islam that ISIS does—with all the religious intolerance, beheadings, crucifixions, mutilations, and misogyny we associate with the terrorists. Worse, SA spends a whopping 100 billion dollars annually—trillions over the decades—to support and disseminate the vilest form of Islam (“Wahhabism”/Salafism) around the world. Virtually all radical literature, radical m...

Pope Francis Tears at History’s Walls against Islam

تصویر
Pope Francis continues to argue for two interrelated points that, while seemingly humane, compromise Western nations and expose their citizens to danger. He reiterated his first point earlier this month when he said , “I appeal not to create walls but to build bridges.” Francis has made this appeal frequently, both figuratively (when imploring Western nations not to close their doors against more incoming Muslim migrants) and literally (for instance by characterizing Donald Trump’s proposal to build a U.S.-Mexico wall as “ not Christian ”). Francis reiterated his second point a few days ago when he said , “Muslim terrorism does not exist.” His logic is that, because there are Christians who engage in criminal and violent activities—and yet no one blames Christianity for their behavior—so too should Islam not be blamed when Muslims engage in criminal and violent activities. In this, the Catholic pope appears unable or unwilling to make the pivotal distinction betwee...

Trump to American Muslims: Embrace Christianity, Pay Jizya, or Die?

تصویر
As American liberals/leftists continue to portray Donald Trump’s immigration ban on seven Muslim nations in the worst possible terms—from “racist” to “Islamophobic”—and as Muslim activists continue to claim “shock and trauma,” a lone Egyptian man has asked some relevant questions that few Muslims care to face. Dr. Ahmed ‘Abdu Maher is a researcher and political activist who regularly appears on Arabic language television and who has a long record of exposing Islamic institutions like Al Azhar for using texts and curriculums that promote terrorism in the name of Islam. On February 6, he posted a brief video of himself speaking in Arabic, relevant portions of which I translate below: Friends, in regards to the presidential victory of Donald Trump, we wanted to ask our brothers—the fuqaha[jurists of Islamic law] and the ulema [scholars of Islam]—a question: if this man who has on more than one occasion announced that he doesn’t want Muslims … were to coerce, through the...
